Color consistency at every role of a produced job is an important topic in the production of printed materials.
The software option Color Monitoring is the ideal tool to assure color quality.
The Color Monitoring software performs automatic and continuous comparison of the actual on-press color with previously stored standard values at user-defined positions on the web.
The results are consistent color from roll-to-roll and perfect printing results for your customers.
The Color Monitoring software supports the following color spaces:
Depending on the color space selected, color deviations are indicated either as ΔE value or as biggest component difference. The improved color difference formula “Delta E 2000” is used in the color space CIEDE 2000, based on CIELab.
Further color spaces available on request.

With the Color Monitoring function, the color consistency check is fast and easy.
For each position, the current color values, the stored reference values and the detected color deviations are numerically displayed on the touch screen.
A graphic display of current and reference color, side-by-side, provides a means to visually check color consistency and recognize deviations instantaneously.
All parameters and settings are saved and thus can always be called up again. This reduces set up times to a minimum.
Every job is different. Depending on customer specification, printing conditionsand substrate different color deviation tolerances are necessary.
The Color Monitoring software makes it easy for you to customize every job: Via the intuitive operating interface you define the warning and alarm thresholds at which the system shall react.
When actual print color approaches the set outside tolerance, an alarm alerts the operator and shows where the developing colorproblem is located on the web.
The operator has time to take corrective action before actual color reaches an unacceptable level.
