Build Quality Into Your Sleeve Manufacturing Process With ProSleeve™
Introducing ProSleeve™, a lay flat measuring system used to monitor and control the finished lay flat quality on machines which produce sleeve products.
ProSleeve uses a high resolution CCD camera to measure the actual finished lay flat sleeve width as they are being made on the “seamer” machine, and notifies the operator when actual size exceeds specifications or begins to drift. ProSleeve contains a unique filter package which enhances web edges and allows the system to readily see substrates commonly used for sleeves - such as PVC, PET, OPS and SBC - and measure to a very tight tolerance of +/- 0.1mm. The interface provides a continuous display of the live measured web width and the desired quality thresholds, and a histogram of the last ten running minutes, providing a very effective means to monitor finished sleeve qualty during production.
An optional reporting module is available which links the data output from the ProSleeve system to a customer supplied personal computer. The reporting function provides statistical data on every roll and every job and allows printing of three types of documents on demand – roll labels, roll reports and job reports.
ProSleeve is a cost effective system that pays for itself by improving quality, reducing sleeve waste, cutting downstream roll processing costs and helping to assure customers that they always and only get sleeves which meet their specs and run properly on the labeling and fill lines.
ProSleeve is a system and technology that has been proven effective and reliable in actual installations. About a hundred systems have been installed in North, Central and South America, Asia and Europe, on “seamer” machines made by Karlville, Stanford and others.
